Back to school

Good evening, blogosphere, and what a terrible evening it is here! It's so humid, I feel as if I could drown if I took a deep enough breath. So anyway, the biggest thing going on in my life at the moment (quite sadly) is school! I've just started at the senior campus of my school, and I adore it. The school seems to attract lots of artistic and lovely people, due to the fantastic music and art programs they offer (and also because of the lack of uniform!). So, I'm looking forward to improving my sewing and drawing this year, and possibly even getting back to playing bass (sewing seems to have dominated my entire life, haha).

I've decided that this year will be the year everything shall be eco-friendly, and I'm already off to a good start. I already catch the bus every morning and afternoon without fail, and if I can get my hands on a bicycle (preferably one of these lovely looking things) I would definitely ride to school, although maybe not on the days when I start first thing in the morning....

I'll be making my own lunches, packaging-free (my mother bought a whole bunch of funky coloured lunch box type thingies, so I won't need to use any plastic wrap or other wasteful jargen) and vegan, which is something new that i've decided to try out. I have been a vegetarian for around 6 years now, and I haven't been drinking milk for the past year- and it seems to work for me, so I thought I'd have a go at cutting out all animal based products.

I've gone all out with the stationary. I love all that stuff. All my folders are recycled, as is all the loose leaf paper inside them. I get so excited at the beginning of a school year, but unfortunately I begin with good intentions, being extremely organised and punctual, but by the third week the forgetting has begun. Maybe this year will be different??

Anyway, I'm off to try and get some sleep in this ridiculous muggy atmosphere. Goodnight!
