Excuse my late excitement, but...

Yesterday I purchased my DREAM book. A copy of Jane Eyre (one of my all time favorites) with illustrations by Dame Darcy! I was overjoyed to find it sitting, all alone amongst hundreds of Penguin Classics, just pleading me to take it home. I am thrilled that I found it, even if I do feel a bit late to the party (the book in question was published almost 4 years ago...)

I have been deeply in love with Dame Darcy's work since the beginning of last year, when I purchased her amazing graphic novel Gasoline. It pretty much combined perfectly my interests in the world of Wicca, environmental sustainability and self-sufficiency, and had amazing illustrations thrown into the mix! The back of the book contained a large index of websites full of fantastic suggestions on how to reduce your carbon footprint, all very handy indeed.

Here is her fantastic website, where all her equally wonderful books are listed.

Well, that's all from me for now, Salut, tout le monde!

An Introduction

Good evening, blogger. I have opened this blog to record my attempts at furthering my green..ness? and to flaunt anything I have created, whether it came out of the oven or the sewing machine. I hope to check in every few days, but I don't know if I should really be setting myself any goals to write something interesting at regular intervals. Well, that is all I can really write (for an introduction) so, goodnight!
